Shinichi-Maruyama- Kusho Series!

The Kusho series consists of twenty-three large-scale color photographs featuring ink and water in motion.
The split-second timing necessary to photograph these pictures is made possible by recent advances in strobe light technology, allowing the artist, Shinichi- Maruyama, to capture phenomena in most instances at 7,500th of a second, and, in the few close-up images of droplets, at an astonishing 20,000th of a second.

One Thousand Cranes!

Anomaly and a group of Artists have created beautiful designs that can be made into origami cranes.
A donation to the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund will allow you to download a design with instructions to guide you in making a crane. The site www.onethousandcranesforjapan.com are hoping many thousands of you will fold and then place your crane somewhere prominent so that it might inspire others to also focus their intent and devotion toward those in the grip of this tragedy.

Summer Wars!

This looks like an amazing film from Mamoru Hosoda, the director of the also amazing “The Girl Who Lept Through Time”. Looks like a good substitute story wise for the apparently lacklustre TRON Legacy.
