McDonalds Come As You Are!

This new French McDonalds ad from BETC Euro RSCG seems to be causing controversy worldwide. Depicting a Father and Son dining in McDonalds and then revealing the Son to be Gay, “Come as you are” has already upset Gay & Lesbian groups in France, who feel it is exploitational. However, fresh fuel was put on the fire by McDonald’s U.S. operations chief Don Thompson who told the Chicago Tribune that the Ad would not run in America. Citing “Cutural differences”, amongst other things it has caused quite a stir. Read his full response here.
